I'm here
I arrived here at about 6PM local time on Tuesday--5AM Tuesday morning for most of you. The whole process of getting here was quite an adventure, and I'll write about it at length later. For now, though, just know that Japan is really hot and humid at the moment; it makes August in Louisville downright cool. Everything is going according to plan, and I'll update with more details later.

And out of curiousity, what did it smell like when you first disembarked? I smelled cigarettes, fish, and something a bit sweet/humid. But of course, I was in a different region, too. So maybe you won't have the fish smell in Kansai...hmmm.
